Lately...
We've been having fun. Last week's holiday in the middle of the week was a perfect opportunity to take the time to do things that "normal weeks" (i.e. weeks when we fall into our routine) don't allow.
A boat ride with friends and their family on Tuesday? Yes and let's watch some firworks while we're out there.
Taking three hours to make dinner with vegatables grown in my brother's garden? Why not. Vodka sauce with roasted vegetables is definitely worth it.
Making salsa and visiting a friend's pool? Hanging out under our new pergola? Checking out a new resturant? Having dinner with friends who live a few towns away? Yes, yes, yes, and yes. As I mentioned to a friend the other day, our holiday was wonderfully low-key which is about as nice as a holiday can be in my opinion.
Am I in the minority? Would everyone else prefer to stay busy over their vacations?
