Welcome to the April Photo A Day Challenge!
March 30th #toy:
I've been super inspired by the Instagram photographs I've come across lately that use negative space purposefully. I'm usually a "fill the frame" kinda' girl so was totally different and aesthetically probably my top shot all week.
March 31st #where you relax:
I (unintentionally) made an appointment for a cut and color the same day of the #relax prompt. Tres, convenient, oui?
I was flipping through "W" magazine when I came across this Cadillac ad that said "Love is blond, but lust is 20/20."
April 1st #your reflection:
This is one of the ones this week that I choose to interpret differently this week.
Instead of the "through the mirror shot" that I had pre-planned I took one look at the okra during Sunday dinner and realized that I had to use this. I explained in the caption that I was feeling very "southern fried" that day.
April 2nd #color:
During Spring Break, I started my own daily (self) challenge where I try to post at least one picture a day with the hash-tag of "#texture". When one of my co-workers (who follows m on Twitter) asked, "What's this #texture thing about?" to which I finally had to verbalize what I was doing. I explained that it's a chance for me to break my world down into tiny pieces and just focus on the texture, instead of the object as a whole.
I say all that to say that this picture was intended as my #texture shot of the day and it just so happened to fit neatly into the #color slot as well.
April 3rd #mail:
I kind of despise mail so instead of bringing my phone to that endure the torture of looking at my stash, I used it to catch the view of the mail box after the "weather" that had hit Dallas that day had passed us.
April 4th #someone who makes you smile:
I am blessed to have a lot of people who make me smile regularly. My friend and co-worker Majesta is one of these people; she is strong, smart, and kind.
April 5th #tiny:
The "tiny" dots belong to a dress that is one of my favorite (non-shoe) things in my closet. It's one of those pieces of clothing that holds emotions and hopes and dreams. I'm so glad it's beginning to warm up so that I can wear it again.

Let's play "What's your favorite?"
I've already mentioned that #toy is my personal favorite but it's followed closely by #color... mostly because I can never resist a two for one deal.
