Please don't let the name fool you- Just because these little suckers have fruit in their name doesn't mean they are healthy. In fact, these are probably the opposite of healthy since I believe that anything including cresent rolls is basically a French conspiracy to fatten America.
Regardles: These. Are. Amazing.

Shoes off, wine bottle open.

Dump three quarters of a bag of frozen strawberries into a bowl to thaw. Use the remaining strawberries for a smoothie tomorrow morning.
Half a block of cream cheese and dice into cubes the size of your (woman sized) pinky.
If you're a slow dicer (like myself), the strawberries will have began to thaw at this point. They don't need to be soft, just cuttable. Quarter the strawberries and dump them back into their original bowl. Squeeze half a lemon over them and about three quarters of a cup of sugar.
{For a non-sweets girl like me this seemed like too much. But it was perfect. You may need more. Play around with it.}

While these are marinating, pop open two cans of cresent rolls (the aforentioned French conspiracy) and smush two triangles into a square. Bad description. Check out the picture below.

See the two become one. {smile}

By now the berries will be lushily juicy.
With the cresent rolls rolled out on a large cookie pan, scoop a few tablespoons of the berry concoction onto one half of the square. According to my roommate and friend Jen, berries are notorious for cooking down so, if in doubt, add more than what you think you need. Divide out the cubes of cream cheese over each square.

Fold over the other half of the cresent square and and crimp it like you've seen your grandmother does when she makes pies for Christmas. Fork crimpage optional.
Brush a beaten egg over the pie packets that you've created.
Smile because these are going to be great.

Pop the cookie sheet in the oven you've pre-heated to 350 degrees and let it cook for 12-15 minutes. Melt 3-4 tablespoons of butter in the microwave while you're waiting.
The pies should be golden but not quite brown when they're ready to come out.

Pour the melted butter over the pies, sprinkle a bit more sugar over them, and put them back in the oven for 5 minutes. {But watch 'em- the last thing you want is a burned mini pie.}
Ta-da!!
That's it. Once you take them out they should be ever so slightly browned on the edges and smell heavenly. They are best when your fingers get a little toasty dropping it on your plate.

Try these. Give them away. You will make tons of new friends.

Yay for Tasty Tuesday!
I've played around with my photo editing (thanks to inspiration from my girl Gloria) and kinda like it. What do you think?
Also: My mister's birthday is this week so I may do doing Tasty Thursday and Tasty Friday and Tasty Saturday... What can I say? We like to cook AND you can bet there will be birthday happiness in food form as well.
I've had comments about how these are turning out a little... dark... for people.
The best options- turn down your oven for the first ten minutes (to cook down the berries and cream cheese) and flip the pies and then crank it up for the last five minutes. And keep an eye on it- these are too good to burn!!
